Our Story

The Perolina family’s Shing-A-Ling business started with Mr. Mario Casipit Perolina in Pagsanjan, Laguna. Shing-A-Ling, a popular Filipino snack, is made from deep-fried egg noodles, shaped like green beans with a hollow interior. Known for its exceptional crispiness, it is often enjoyed with a vinegar dip.

With limited job opportunities and the responsibility of supporting his family, Mr. Mario decided to start his own Shing-A-Ling business in 1995. Inspired by his mother’s homemade version, he used his savings to begin production in a small kitchen outside their home.

This persistence paid off as he expanded his market to cities like Biñan, Calamba, and Lipa. Now managed by his eldest son and wife, Nena, the Shing-A-Ling business continues to thrive, showcasing Mr. Mario’s resilience and determination to create a lasting family legacy.

Today, Perolina’s Original continues to represent as the face of Shing-A-Ling, recognized by DTI and GMA News and more!

For the Perolina clan in Pagsanjan there’s more to these egg noodles…
